This week, Year 5 began work on constructing their picture frames from wooden dowel. They started by measuring where they were going to cut and then put their safety knowledge to the test to saw the wood accurately.
Once they had cut their wood into parts, the children sanded any jagged edges before sticking their pieces together. They used cardboard triangles to securely attach the joins.
Next week, we will decorate our picture frames.
