As a landing to our recent topic, this week the children in Reception worked with year 3 to carry out different experiments. Our first experiment was melting. We investigated which method would melt the ice the quickest, in the hope of freeing some of the frozen toys too! We also investigated which materials float and sink. The children were surprised by the metal paperclip sinking but the balloon floating! We also investigated which materials in the class were magnetic. A big thank you to Year 3 for asking the Reception children lots of questions throughout all the experiments! Well done everyone.
