Who are we and what do we do?
We are Winton Primary School PFA (Parents and Friends Association).
We are a registered charity (registered charity number 1035690) and are a small team headed up by Joss (Chair) and Lizzie (Treasurer).
We run events to fundraise for the school with the help of Anna and Naomi (joint Secretaries), around 15 committee members, volunteers for events and the support of school teachers.
We organise a number of very successful fundraising events throughout the year including the Summer Fayre, discos, raffles, playground sales, bingo, Teacher Vs Parents events and more.
We also run the preloved uniform shop taking in daily donations and selling for a contribution.
Last school year (2023/2024) we raised almost £22,000!
Over the past few years we have used funds raised to help improve facilities for the children in school including the outdoor classroom, the outdoor kitchen, the IT suite complete refurbishment, new drums in the music room and more. All of which benefits all the children in school.
Our current major ongoing fundraising project is for playground equipment that needs replacing, along with the play trail resurfacing.
