Recently, in Year 3 English, the students have been studying non-chronological reports. They’ve been reading a variety of texts, identifying key features, and discussing them before writing their own reports. The students will be using their successful reports as the foundation for beautifully designed pop-up books, which you’ll have the opportunity to see at our upcoming book-sharing events. We’re sure you’ll agree they have done a fantastic job!
After the extremely successful completion of our report topic, we are now looking at the features of a suspense text and planning our own short narrative. To help us become familiar with the model text, The Mysterious Forest, we have created our own talking story including actions. The children really enjoyed practicing this in class this week!
