This half term in Year4, we have been reading Secrets of the Sun King in our reading lessons and as our class book. The children have enjoyed linking this story to our Ancient Egyptian topic. This week, we looked at an extract of the book and acted out the scenes to really get a feel for the emotion and the feelings of the family at the graveyard. The children took it in turns to stand in front of the class and perform their scenes.
All of the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this lesson and they are really invested in the story and linking their knowledge of Howard Carter and other aspects of Ancient Egyptian History.
