Last half term, Year 5 geography has focused on South America. We have looked at the different human and physical geographical features of the continent and how and why they are changing. A real focus of our physical geography learning has been on deforestation and the impact that it has not only on a local scale but also a global. During our English lessons, we decided to write formal letters to the Prime Minister highlighting the impact that deforestation has, the need for change and what we can do on a local level to help the situation. We’re looking forward to a reply from the government and we’ll let you know what they say.
