In geography, the children in Year 1 are learning about the world around them. This week they have begun to think about whether things they see in the world are a physical feature or human feature.
Physical features are things that are created by nature whereas human features are manmade – they wouldn’t be there unless someone made it and put it there.
The children looked at lots of different photos of places you might see in the UK, named them and decided if they were a human or physical feature. Some they thought could be both as sometimes forests can be planted by humans and sometimes even beaches can be man-made!
