What a fantastic start to school we have had in Reception! The children have settled into school really quickly, learning the new routines and having great fun with old and new friends in the classroom. The children have enjoyed exploring indoor learning, outdoor learning, the play trail and the mini-playground. Everyone has been very kind to each other and excellent at tidying up! The teachers are very impressed and proud of you all for your excellent start to school.
In maths, the children have worked hard, joining in with counting and matching activities. The children have also been singing lots of counting songs, including Five Current Buns and Five Little Speckled Frogs. In English, there have been lots of opportunities for mark-making, writing and colouring, which the children have loved! They have also started learning the story, ‘Where is Spot?’ Well done for a fantastic start to your school journey, Reception!
