Year 4 started our lessons on sewing. This year we will learn the cross stitch and back stitch (to add onto our previous knowledge in year 3 where children learnt the running stitch).
This was the children’s first attempt at the cross stitch and we were very impressed with their efforts. Despite finding a few aspects challenging, all the children were able to complete a first attempt at a cross stitch.
Over the next few weeks, the children will learn the back stitch and practise both the cross and back stitch hoping to refine their skills.
