Over the past term the children in Year 2 have been learning about different types of tales. At the start of the term, the children learnt the tale of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. They performed the tale with actions and did a fantastic job of writing it. Then, it was the children’s turn to get creative! They innovated the tale of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ by changing the characters and the setting. It was great to see tales about Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh and lots about different animals too. However, the children didn’t stop there! As then, the children began to invent their own tale. This meant they could write any type of tale they wished. It was great to see some children deciding to write warning tales, finding tales, losing tales and even wishing tales. Well done Year 2, what super authors you all are!
