Exploring installation artists

This half term in Year 6, our work will be based around how installation artists use colour in their work.  We looked at two different artists.
Yinka Iloria is an artist who is based in London. He likes to use colour in his work as it makes people happy as well as helping to represent his Nigerian heritage. Below are some examples of his work.

We also looked at another artist called Morag Myerscough. She likes to use a range of different types of 3D font to help her create her art. Her work has been used in hospitals and schools to bring joy to people and send positive messages into the world.

As we learnt about each artist, we jotted down our impressions, likes and dislikes and how it made us feel. We also used a range of different colours to help us show our emotions and feelings.
