Last week, there was a strange delivery in Year 2. Each class was sent an egg, some interesting objects and an important set of instructions titled ‘How to look after a pet dragon’.
The children worked hard to learn the talking story, focussing on the features of instruction writing.
This week, the children have taken the structure of the instructions they were sent and have had a go at writing their own about how to look after an animal of their choice. They thought carefully about what features to include and the order that their steps needed to go in.
