Today a pupil in Year 5 showed me their home learning as Mr Hassan had been so impressed with it. He talked me through his invention which was designed to eliminate landfill. After sifting recyclable materials the invention would compress waste and use it as building materials for sustainable housing. As he explained it to me it was very clear that he had really thought through the invention and was clearly able to explain his thought processes. This was a rather exciting Headteacher Award as it was not just an outstanding piece of work. This could be an idea that would save our planet and lead to our first billionaire Winton alumni!
