This term year 6 are studying World War 2 and this week it has inspired our art work.
We have been immersing ourselves in the experiences of the Blitz and how people used a range of shelters to protect themselves.
In 6EL, we created this art work on Wednesday afternoon by first blending a range of colours to create the sky. We tried to make these reflect the emotions of experiencing an air raid and you can see the colours reflect this. Then they used black paper to collage silhouettes of the City of London to show the darkness of the city during the blackouts.
I think they did a fantastic job and they too were really proud of their work – great job year 6!
