We had a very exciting start to our ‘Does Chocolate really grow on trees?’ topic last week in Year 3. The children had the chance to taste and rate 10 different types and flavours of chocolate, we even had some special chocolate for children with different dietary requirements so that everyone was able to join in!
First, the children had to rate the chocolates based on the way they looked and smelt.
We were interested to learn that some of the chocolates smelt very strong and others we could barely smell at all. The best part of the chocolatey afternoon was being able to taste the different chocolates. Some chocolates we loved and gave a big thumbs up, others we did not like at all and pulled silly faces when we tried them!
