USA Day!

To launch our new topic Year 6 enjoyed lots of American themed activities: music, sports and food.  For the day, the children dressed up in American themed clothing. We had a variety of impressive outfits with children dressing up as the Statue of Liberty to previous political leaders.

As well as taking part in cheerleading and watching highlights of American sports, the children had the opportunity to compare American and English chocolate and cereal. Lots of the children thought the American cereal was too sweet to have everyday but they still enjoyed it!

In the afternoon, the children researched famous landmarks and created a piece of artwork to represent it. They had great fun creating their artwork and their final pieces are amazing!
