This week a mixed team from Years 5 and 6 played in the annual tournament organised by AFC Bournemouth. The children were super excited to be attending this event as it was the first football tournament back since the pandemic restrictions were lifted. It felt great seeing so many teams all playing at Littledown over a multitude of pitches. The parents were out delivering great support too! The children certainly delivered a wonderful afternoon of sportsmanship, camaraderie and performance. Winton won 3 and drew 1 of their first 4 matches resulting in a top of the table finish and therefore qualifying for the semi finals. The semi final was a tight game with Winton narrowly losing to the eventual winners Talbot school 1-0. A fantastic start to what promises to be a year packed full of matches for lots of our children. Well done to everyone involved.
