Last week, Year 3 were learning about what the word collage means. We looked at some different collage artists from around the world and discussed what we thought about their artwork and why. We were then given some coloured paper and a plain A3 piece of paper and had a go at creating some collage artwork of our own. We drew shape outlines on our background, then ripped and cut the coloured paper into different shapes and used it to create patterns and objects on the background. We loved creating the different patterns and shapes with the coloured paper and are looking forward to using different collage materials to create a class masterpiece over the next couple of weeks.
