Year 1 have loved challenging themselves in Maths this year. They have enjoyed choosing which challenge to have a go at and have worked really hard. We have been learning to use the Maths vocabulary ‘greater than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equals to’, as well as using the correct signs to compare numbers. It was excellent to see the children using the resources and pictorial representations to compare amounts. I was very impressed to hear them using the maths vocabulary when sharing their work with a partner. Excellent work, Year 1!
