This week in Maths we have been learning all about number bonds to 10. The children have really enjoyed learning a number bond rap to help learn the different bonds as number facts.
In whole class carpet sessions we have explored a set of 10 animals to work out what number is needed to make 10 by adding together the animals in each hoop.
During let’s learn we have been choosing to use the Numicon to build number bond sandwiches to 10 through play.
We have also been representing the different number bonds to 10 using a tens frame in our teacher job. We have learnt that for each number bond we can write two number sentences, e.g. 4 + 6 = 10 and 6 + 4 = 10.
