A Stellar Adventure for Year 5

Year 5 had a great trip to the Winchester Science Centre as part of our science topic on Earth’s movement in space.

While we were there, we took part in a Star Seekers workshop where we learned more about telescopes, light and how it travels. This helped us link our learning in class to real life.

We also had time to explore the museum and try out the many interactive exhibits. The children enjoyed investigating different areas of science and experimenting with the hands-on activities.

One of the highlights of the day was visiting the planetarium. We watched a show all about space, which helped us learn more about planets, stars and our universe.

It was a really enjoyable day and a great way to bring our science learning to life.
