The children in Y1 were excited to find lots of animals in the classroom last week. As part of their Science learning, the children have been learning to name, observe and classify them. The Creature Teachers brought five different animals for the children to see and hold. How exciting!
The children were excellent at observing the animals closely and listening carefully as they learnt about the features of each group of animals; birds, amphibians, fish, reptiles and mammals. The children also learnt some fascinating facts! Did you know that millipedes eat damp and decaying leaves? Well done Y1!
