This week 1RD have loved having a visit from the ‘Creature Teachers.’ They brought a ferret, a lizard, a cockroach, an owl and a snake for the children to hold and touch. The children were excellent at observing the animals closely and listening carefully as they learnt about the features of each group of animals ; birds, amphibians, fish, reptiles and mammals. The children also learnt some fascinating facts! Did you know that a lizard has three eyes? We definitely have some animal experts in the classroom!
