In Design and Technology this term we are designing and making our very own wind-powered cars. We started off the unit by learning how a wheel and axle mechanism is used to move things and learnt about their design features. We then got to test out and explore using wheels and axles to see how they physically worked together rotate and move.
We then got to design our own wind-powered cars and decide on their purpose before making a prototype with our partners.
We will then go on to evaluate what worked and what we might change for our re-design before putting forward our final designs.
