Handball

Last week, Winton Primary School proudly hosted the Bournemouth Schools Primary Handball Competition, welcoming teams from across the area for a fantastic day of sport and teamwork. Winton entered three teams into the competition, and all of our players represented the school brilliantly with excellent effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Each team played some lovely handball, showing great teamwork, positive spirit, and improving confidence in every match. It was wonderful to see so much encouragement and support between teammates both on and off the field.

All three teams performed extremely well, but one of our teams (The team with 29’s on their tops) had an especially memorable day by reaching the final after a series of impressive performances. In a very close match, they narrowly lost to St Katharine’s School. However, both finalists have now qualified for the county tournament at Chapel Gate in a few weeks’ time. Congratulations to everyone involved!
