Year 2 have been hard at work recently researching, planning and drafting non-chronological reports about their chosen animal. Packed with cool facts and topic vocabulary, they have learnt how to organise their writing using headings and sub-headings and have done a fantastic job of presenting their learning appropriately.
Through careful reflection and partner work, the children have ‘purple polished’ their writing, correcting errors and improving their reports. Some of their editing has been amazing!
Here are some pictures of the children hard at work, writing up their reports as an information leaflet. Some of these leaflets will be taken with us on our trips to the New Forest Wildlife Park in June as a real world outcome.
