Reception children have many places they can learn in whilst in school. They have access to the garden and outdoor area, the base area as well as their classroom. Each area provides different learning experiences.
Indoor learning has a house role play area and this week it was enhanced with a vet. The children were able to play house and take their pets to the vet for check ups and to get medicine and X-rays.
Next week we are going to be learning about Chinese New Year, so the house area is going to be enhanced with chopsticks, lanterns and other Chinese resources, so the children can role play celebrating.
Indoor learning also has a large Block Play area. Each week there is a new challenge for the children to build with. This week they have lolly sticks, cups and masking tape as the enhancement. The challenge is to build a bridge.
