Last week Winton competed in the Bournemouth Primary School’s Handball championships. This was a fantastic event and the standard of handball in the later stages was excellent. One of our teams beat St James in the semi-final to set up an epic showdown with St. Katherines in the final. An end to end final saw the match end in a pulsating 6-6 draw activating a tense 3 minutes of extra time. Amazingly Winton raced into a 3-0 lead and managed to hold on to win the tournament. They now play in the county finals this Wednesday. Well done to them for a wonderful team performance.
