Year 3 have been working incredibly hard in English — and their finished suspense stories are something to be proud of!
This term, the children turned their attention to suspense writing. Using ‘The Manor House’ as our model text, children picked apart a successful piece of writing, discussing the key features the author had included. To really understand the techniques, the classes even brought the story to life through actions. Then, inspired and full of ideas, they planned and wrote their very own suspense-filled narratives.
We were blown away by the quality of the writing, which was full of mystery, eerie settings, and brilliant twists! Each piece of writing showcases the imagination, hard work, and growing confidence on display by the children.
