Last week Winton entered the annual British Dodgeball championships held at LeAF Academy. We took 2 teams to the competition and couldn’t wait to get playing! Both teams were in separate groups against schools from all over Dorset including a few Weymouth schools. Amazingly both teams made it through to the semi-finals after getting through 5 games (each game was 5 explosive rounds of 2 minutes) to qualify.
Our Winton Warriors team beat St Katherine’s in the semi final to set up a final against St James which, after an incredible match, we narrowly lost. Congratulations to both of our teams (the Winton Warriors and Winton Dragons) who did Winton proud on the day and kept up Winton’s great reputation in Dodgeball with some lovely ducking, dodging, darting, diving and dipping!
