The children in Year 1 have been reading the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’.
They have written instructions on how to make a jam sandwich to send down the wire to Mr Grinling for his lunch. Then they innovated the story to write instructions for a disgusting sandwich to scare off the seagulls.
In Design and Technology the children have made a moving picture using a lever. They used the lever to move the basket from the cottage on the cliffs to the lighthouse on the rocks.
The children worked with an adult from home in a really fun D&T workshop in school.
