Year 4 have been getting moody and explosive in art, but in a good way! We have been looking at how different artists use different colours to express different moods and emotions. This led us to create our own abstract paintings that tried to reflect a range of emotions. Then came the twist! The next stage of the process, involved the children making a fold up ‘explosion’ book, They then cut up their mood paintings to create a new piece of art that exploded from the book. The teachers were really impressed with how the children used a range of colours and brush techniques to express themselves and they were all very proud of their wonderful creations!
