Year 3 had a fantastic end to Autumn 1, launching into their new topic ‘Stone Age to Iron Age’ with an experience day.
During the morning, the children firstly thought carefully about what they might already know about the topic, and what they would like to find out through their enquiries during the half term.
They then went on to do four different activities including cave painting, handling and discussing artefacts loaned to us from The Dorchester Museum, visiting our school library to enjoy topic books and research interesting facts, and finally watching a series of videos about these ancient civilisations.
As we explore our topic further in Autumn 2, we aim to create an exhibition of our work that will displayed at Castlepoint Library after Christmas.
