In their music lessons this term, year three have been learning about the Scottish composer Anna Meredith. The children have been working hard to learn and perform some of the musical patterns in one of her pieces called ‘Connect It’. This piece is very special because there are no instruments and the music is built up solely through layers of body percussion sounds.
The children are currently creating their own body percussion patterns which we will then link together and develop into our own version of ‘Connect It’. We look forward to sharing our finished composition.
