The children in Year 1 have been learning about Australia.
They have learnt about traditional aboriginal dot art. To make their own dotty pictures they used a template to draw round an Australian animal and then used cotton buds to dot and dot and dot! Careful thought was given to the colours used to make patterns.
They have also explored colour mixing to create a sunset painting. They mixed red and yellow to make orange. Again they used a template to create either Uluru or Sydney Opera House.
