In Reception, we have been amazed by how much progress the children have made in writing this half term!
From mark making, to writing CVC words to having a go at writing their own ideas. In indoor learning we have made use of large flipchart paper to mark make and write. The children have used their pens and felt tips to practice their tricky words and the sounds that they know.
In class we have been practising our cursive letter formation, and using our writing toolkit to remind us of what to include in our sentences. When we write we always sound out each word using our phoneme fingers to help us hear each sound. We have been working on using story strips to write our own sentences which is super.

We have just finished ‘Titch’ as our Talk 4 Writing text and the children have really enjoyed writing sentences about the story. Look at their beautiful, well presented sentences.
Great writing Reception!
