Titch

The children in Reception have started to learn a new talking story called ‘Titch’. It is based on the story by Pat Hutchins.

The children have worked as a class to come up with actions to help them remember the story.

Here you can see ‘until’

‘but’

‘house’

‘finally’

The children also got to see some real life objects to bring the story to life and to check understanding of key vocabulary. Each class has a kite, pinwheel, trumpet and wooden whistle (recorder).

The children have also been writing and painting based on the story.

We are working on making our sentences more exciting by using adjectives and repeating key ideas 3 times, we call this ‘the power of 3’!
