It’s that time of year when Year 2 get to squash all of our remaining tomatoes!
We are at the start of our “Seeds to sandwich” project where everybody in the school gets involved in growing our crop of tomatoes for next year. These tomatoes will make the sauce that we use for our pizzas at the end of the year. Now that the seeds have been squashed out of the fruit we can look after them over the Winter and then plant the seeds in the Spring.
This year we have been able to continue our seeds to sandwich project, even during the recent storms, in the Outdoor Learning Room. In previous years we have struggled in the wind and rain but thanks to the amazing work by the PFA for funding our Outdoor Learning Room we can carry on throughout the entire year, no matter what the weather throws at us!
