Last week at the Dorset School Games our Yr 5 Handball team were lucky enough to run into Jason Gardner, the 4x100m relay Gold medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. The children politely asked him if he would like to race against them and… he accepted! Needless to say the result was a foregone conclusion but it was fantastic to meet such a great ambassador for athletics and sport and our children went away (after asking some great questions to our VIP) inspired to work even harder in their PE lessons!
