This half term Year One have been lucky enough to spend lots of time in outdoor learning with Mr Keeley. We have learnt about plants, their features and how we need to look after them.
For our last week with him, we put all the knowledge we have learnt this half term to find some plants in our beautiful courtyard. Mr Keeley told us things to look out for, and gave us clues about some smells and things they might feel like.
We then set off with our partners to find the 12 plants that we had learnt lots about. We noticed that some plants, like the raspberry plant would look different at different times of year. But were lucky enough to see some red raspberries shooting. We had so much fun, and we are already looking forward to more outdoor learning time next year when we get to Year Two!
