Winton Can Dance!!!!

Wow, what an afternoon of dance we have had this week!

On Wednesday, we were first surprised with a message from ‘Strictly come Dancing’s’ Anton Du Beke, he wished us good luck for our dance, and gave us all some pointers of how we could score lots of extra points for performance. We couldn’t believe he had taken the time to share his wisdom, and this got us ready to head outside.

After a warm up in the sunshine, we all had a practice of the school song. A few weeks ago we voted for our favourite song, and the winner was “I’m Blue Da Be De…” and lots of practising has taken place at home and in the classrooms. We then welcomed our in school judges, Mrs James, Mr Keeley and Dani, from the ‘Dani Dance’ dance school.

Then we were off, we danced in a battle format, with red and green, taking on blue and yellow, then we swapped to give everyone a go at different parts. Well done to everyone for their efforts!

The votes were very close, but the judges decided….

1st Place –  Yellow – 200 house points

2nd Place – Blue – 150 house points

Joint 3rd – Red and Green – 100 house points.

Well done everyone, we are looking forward to seeing what this does to the overall points, and remember more are up for grabs next week at the fun run!
