This term, Year 6 children have been learning about microcontrollers in computing lessons. They have programmed ‘Crumble Boards‘ which they have attached to inputs such as push switches and outputs such as ‘sparkle’ LEDs and motors. This week, they programmed home-made buggies to perform various actions. Getting the buggies to turn a right angled corner is tricky because each motor has to turn at an unknown speed for an unknown amount of time, so lots of trial and error was required.
