In Year One this week, we have been painting!
This half term we have been learning about the artists Paul Klee and Emma Burleigh. They are both artists who use water colours to make interesting pictures of animals. Emma in particular, uses brushes and different stroke lines to make her paintings come to life. We watched how she makes random lines on her page, then imagines what it could be, and adds different lines with different sized brushes to add detail.
We had a go in class, using a whole variety of brushes to make a creation as a group. We could see some great animals appear in the way that Emma does and then picked up smaller brushes to add detail.
