Last week, Year 6 launched their new science topic, ‘How have we evolved?’ with a visit from biological anthropologist, Matthew Stone. 
We looked at photos of the evidence we have of ancient people and learnt about how we have changed over time. It was interesting to see how the skeleton has evolved and changed.
Everyone had the opportunity to look at a flint tool ancient people would have used around 30,000 years ago as well as fossils and other examples of evidence of how we may have lived.
It was interesting to see an animal skull up close and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions. We’re looking forward to learning more about evolution during the topic!
