Reception have loved learning about other countries around the world. We have focused on Australia, China, Kenya and Iceland. As part of our learning, we have found out about what life is like in these countries compared to ours. We learnt about the countries population, schools, food and money. We also found out about their landscapes, weather and landmarks. Each session we would look at a world map and find the UK and the country we were learning about. We said we would need to travel by aeroplane to visit these countries and some would take longer then others. Reception were amazed at the landmarks and differences in weather between these countries and our own.
Reception were eager for other people to find out about these countries and created leaflets for our local community to read through. Some children even asked to put their own home learning up too. These are displayed at Winton Library for all to see! Super work, Reception!
