This week Year 6 launched their new topic, ‘How has the Monarch changed over time?’ with an afternoon learning about the Queen and the reason we celebrated the jubilee.
The children watched a video about the Queen’s reign and the incredible things she has done and experienced through her life while eating strawberries and cream.
The children also spent some time finding out about jobs the Queen has done and those she does now as part of her role.
We put all of our research together to create fact files and biographies about our Queen.
Some beautiful home learning has also been coming in showing children’s research of commonwealth countries and art work that represents those countries.
