This week Winton’s Year 4 Golf team took on ten other schools in Bournemouth at ‘The Big Swing,’ the annual golf tournament held this year at Bourne Academy Secondary School. There were 8 golf stations where points were scored by chipping or putting balls in order to hit various targets or landing zones. ‘The Winton Albatrosses’ as we called ourselves went from shot to shot extremely quickly and focused well on the targets needed to score the most points. Amazingly at the end of a wonderful sunny morning The Albatrosses were crowned the winners after scoring the most points overall. Congratulations to the 10 child team on a great group effort and fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Mr Millar was extremely proud!
