On Wednesday 4th May, the day after one of the most exciting matches Bournemouth FC have played, their chairman Jeff Mostyn came into Winton Primary to talk to our year 3s and 4s. After a very exciting win from Bournemouth FC against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday 3rd May, Bournemouth have now been promoted to the Premier League next season.
Jeff spoke of his school days, his inspiration and the importance of respect and teamwork before taking some questions from the year 3 and 4 audience. Jeff also encouraged any young football players to follow their dream and work hard.
None of this would have been possible if our ambitious Poppy from year 4 hadn’t requested a class load of tickets via letter to the man himself. Thank you Poppy, it’s always worth an ask!
