The presence of Year 5 classes was requested in the hall to launch our History topic of Conflict. The heroes participating in the tournament were Sir Hassan of 5SH and Lady Cochrane of 5XC. During the different events, they chose champions to help them win. The events were jousting, spelling, times tables splat and final battle. Sir Hassan often felt that Lady Cochrane wasn’t being totally fair and the children were able to discuss the values of fairness, honour and good sporting attitude when they returned to class.
The Wise Wizard of Winton introduced the tournament and the two heroes.
