As a part of the launch for our half term Winter Olympic theme, Year 4 were extremely lucky to have a visit from a former Olympic marathon runner, Liz Yelling.
Liz explained what it is like to be an athlete and the hard work and sacrifices that she made to be an elite athlete. The children thoroughly enjoyed her visit and were intrigued to ask questions about her lifestyle and her career.
Feeling inspired, Year 4 have been replicating the sacrifices and hard work that Liz explained, in their PE lessons. This week, Year 4 have enjoyed taking part in football, rugby, cross country trials and tennis.
Thank you for inspiring us Liz and well done Year 4!
